On the 27th, the selection results of the 20th Jiangsu May 4th Youth Medal Collective were announced. The company’s Innovation Studio for High‑Performance Metal Powder Materials for Aerospace was honored on the list.

The team consists of 51 members, 90 % of whom are young people under 35 years old. Focusing on the R&D of high‑performance metal powder materials, the team has overcome core bottleneck technologies in manufacturing superalloy, titanium alloy, aluminum alloy, cobalt‑chromium alloy and die‑steel powders. Its products are widely applied in aerospace, national defense, biomedical, 3C electronics, computing heat dissipation and other fields.

Committed to the mission of “Developing China’s own metallic materials”, the team makes sustained efforts on two core priorities: independent and controllable powder‑making equipment, and independent innovation of advanced materials.

The team has achieved 100 % self‑reliance for self‑developed equipment and key components, and developed China’s first set of 600 kg‑class intelligent powder‑making equipment. Technological bottlenecks of seven material grades including superalloys and high‑strength titanium alloys have been broken through, with performance indicators reaching internationally leading standards. A historic shift has been realized from 90 % import dependence to 90 % domestic supply. It drives China’s high‑end metal powder materials to evolve from “following others” to “taking the lead globally”.
